University Final Project
Intro
This was my final university project, made in Unreal Engine 4. The goal was to find out why people experience awe and to use that knowledge to do the same.
During the research phase, I learned many things regarding the psychology of space and the evolutionary reasons why humans prefer some shapes as opposed to others, as well as how to manipulate these emotions by making use of prospect-refuge theory, claustrophobia, mood lighting and sounds.

Throughout the project, I learned a great deal about the lighting systems inside of UE4, as well as LUTs, post processing volumes and reflection capture. I also learned how to design a questionnaire and how to calculate qualitative and quantitative data that I obtained from the participants.
My development blog covers my learning and design journey much more in-depth. If you are interested, you can read it here.
